Black Bean Brownies

These Black Bean Brownies are packed full of natural protein and taste just like the ones your grandma used to make. So they are perfect as a snack before or after a workout. Substitute the eggs with a egg replacement  of your choosing to make them vegan! I used a chia seed egg replacement in one batch and they turned out just as lovely. Lets see how long it takes you to eat the entire batch, it took me and my partner less then 24 hours!


1 can RINSED black beans

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 cup coconut oil

2 tsp vanilla

3 eggs

1/4 cup sweetener of your choosing (white sugar, maple syrup, honey, etc)

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Blend everything but the dark chocolate chips together in a food processor or high speed blender until smooth. This may take a few minutes, but is worth the wait.
  3. Stir in dark chocolate chips.
  4. Pour into a greased pan and bake for 20 minutes, or until a tooth pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Store in a airtight container, for up to a week.
